Your most pressing concerns with the profession and healthcare: I am greatly concerned with the public's perception of care given in the hospital setting. The patient needs to know what level of provider is taking care of them and overseeing the orders of their physician. The expectations of the nurse will continue to grow and this growth will drive many direct care workers away from the bedside. This is most unfortunate however understandable when one looks at the liability of the license you hold and the inability to safely carry out expectations with limits on resources.

Other areas of interest and expertise: I enjoy editing and writing and am actively involved in this process. Individual coaching is also a skill that I share with new graduates as well as nurses looking to change careers or start a business on their own.
