If you lost your job tomorrow with or without notice, how easily do you feel you find new employment?: Today, in a heartbeat. When I first graduated in 1997: As a nurse, in New Jersey as a recent grad, very difficult. Ended up relocating to Texas.

After working on a med/surg/tele floor over a year, was able to find a job in New Jersey relatively easily.

In how many years, would you like to retire? From Bedside Nursing, Never. Will always want a few days on the floor. From Fulltime Bedside, have already.

What_attracted_you_to_the_field_of_Nursing: Enjoyed the patient contact in prior career wanted more of it. Enjoy the sciences Biology Anatomy/Physiology etc.

Favorite food: Zeppole!!!!!!!! Otherwise, anything Italian and homemade. Qualities you admire in your friends/loved ones: Honesty, acceptance, the ability to see potential that we don't see in ourselves.

Pet Peeves: Paperwork! Dishes! Laundry!!!!!!!!!
Major turn-offs: Dishonesty, being led on, people that never have anything nice to say, arrogance, two-faced people.
Hobbies and activities you enjoy outside of work: When not working, studying or sleeping, I occupy myself by building nursing web pages, chatting on the phone and America Online, and ICQ, hitting diners with old and new friends, networking and meeting other RNs, and other people who are not nurses, of course!, reading for pleasure, favorites: Robin Cook, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, & surfing the web (of course). Traveling wherever and whenever. Recent favorites are Atlantic City and Florida.
Pets, favorite vacation spots: Yorkshire Terrier (Spice), four cats. Florida, Nashville, Santa Monica, Chicago and New Jersey. Other_areas_of_interest_and_expertise: Desktop Publishing Writing Arts/Crafts and Computers.
