Would you recommend the field?: Nursing isn't for everyone. If it's for you, I highly recommend it. I love the challenges of Nursing.

If you lost your job tomorrow, how easily do you feel you find new employment?: By tomorrow night.

In how many years, would you like to retire?: I'm young enough that retirement doesn't seem like a goal, but an end to striving.

What Certified Nurse or Patient Educational Materials Would You Like to See on the Internet?: More writings by nurses. When others read about what we do, our thoughts and feelings, it makes us more "real" to them. This will garner respect.

Where do you work?: Long Term Care.

Do you feel having your own a malpractice insurance policy is necessary, why or why not?: Yes. We sue each other too much, too many lawyers if you ask me.

Your most pressing concerns with the profession and healthcare: Horizontal violence between nurses bothers me. I also dislike the pervasive environment of Greed.

Have you ever considered leaving the profession? If yes, what options have you explored?: No.

What attracted you to the field of Nursing?: I think Nurses are great. They are funny, warm, caring, smart, and engaged in vitally important work.

Favorite TV show and musical artists: Monday Night Football. I like female artists like Ricki Lee Jones, Kate Bush, Alanis Morrisette, Sheryl Crow...
