What kind of nursing do you do: pediatric clinic triage nurse
How many years have you been practicing as a nurse: 28yrs
Would you recommend the field: Not as a new grad. Ambulatory care is quite different than hospital nursing. They need to understand the dynamics and different disciplines involved. Its like apples and oranges compared to hospital nursing. I would recommend them working in a pediatric office for awhile and then consider the position.

Your most pressing concerns with the profession and healthcare: 1.The segregation and shame associated with those who dont have alphabet soup after their names2.Major downsizing of nurses for lesser paid employees trained on the job to do nursing job 3. Increasing of awareness and acceptance of alternative nursing careers
