Reason for the change: Took LOA 3 12 years ago to care for my son who was diagnosed with a life threatening condition. 7 months ago I relocated to a state where there is better health care and more options.

Where do you work: Not currently working but looking into Pediatric Home Care for the time being
Do you carry a personal malpractice insurance policy why or why not: I will when I begin working
Your most pressing concerns with the profession and healthcare: Interesting concept about dividing and conquering That seems to sum up my concerns about the profession.We need to maintain our professionalism at all cost Regarding healthcare I have gotten a new perspective since my sons diagnosis. Managed care for us was a nightmare and is something that people with chronic health conditions should not have to deal with unless drastic changes are made.

What attracted you to the field of Nursing: I started out as a Medical Assistant working in a physician's office where I was responsible for running EKGs in the hospital. Liked the patient contact. Wanted more involvement and responsibility.
