Your most pressing concerns with the profession and healthcare: I am very afraid that the nursing shortage will cause a dilution of good nurses, and many will join just for the new benefits and increased salary, not to help people and be a resource for the public. Nurses need to be proud and stand up for ourselves. With the problems with the medical malpractic insurance, and Doctors leaving the emergency and OB/GYN fields it will put more stress on the nurse to see that quality care is provided.
