Bungling nurse struck off:, 24 February 2005: United Kingdom:"A nurse has been struck off the register for risking patients' health after ignoring bosses' orders to keep away from the drip feeds. Maureen Zulu, 43, tried to put antibiotics through a patient's blood transfusion line while working at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, in 2002. Butte Community College / Nursing Division:"The Home Health Aide course provides the
required content for Certified Nursing Assistants
to become Home Health Aides. Home Health
Aides provide CNA level care to clients in
a home environment. The Butte College Vocational
Nursing program is a state approved program
which provides the courses necessary for
a student to apply for licensure as a vocational
nurse. LVNs care for clients in the acute,
convalescent, rehabilitation units, clinics,
and home care. The LVN to RN Program provides
an avenue for the LVN to upgrade to a registered
nurse at the associate degree (ADN) level.
Training as a vocational nurse and prerequisite
classes satisfy the requirements for the
first year of a traditional two-year ADN
program. The associate degree nursing program
(ADN) provides the courses necessary for
a student to apply for licensure as a registered
nurse."
