About our interview process.
The Internet Nursing Guide position is where we hire you to help build our site.
It is intended for nurses that want to eventually own their own nursing websites and earn with them.
We've successfully built the Nursefriendly National Directories into a nursing portal generating thousands of dollars each month.
We'd like to show you how to do the same.
You'll find the mentoring program we provide and skills you learn quite valuable to you.
They are also highly transferable. Web Savvy and Computer Literate Nurses are in short supply and high demand in today's market.

Let's get started with an intro.
My wife and I had our daughter in July 2001 her picture is here.
Rather than deal with childcare, my wife Melanie (RN, OCN) is working full-time and I'm a stay at home father during the week and am taking agency work on the weekends. The rest of our income is coming from online programs.
I can tell you about a lot of our programs, I'd rather tell you what you need to know to earn a decent income online as a nurse.
Let's discuss requirements for what we need.
A nursing background and writing skills are two of the prerequisites.
The next three are computer literacy, basic html and web research skills.
As far as what you can make, some of our nurses make $50-$100 a month, some make several hundred (An option I'd like you all to consider is starting your own website as a permanent income source under our mentoring).
This is assuming you don't trust anyone and refuse to pay money to make money, or to join anyone's "get rich quick" scheme (it's a healthy attitude).
It's completely free and your earnings will be limited at first.
It costs you nothing but "time" to get started and you'll earn based on the amount of time you spend.
It will be several months, before we expect to see a decent return on our time investment in you. We're in this for the long haul.
If you're looking to jumpstart a business and have $200-300 to invest in buying a domain name, advertising and hosting, we'll give you step by step instructions on how to start earning immediately.
(This money does not get paid to us, it gets paid directly to the advertising/hosting companies, you can choose your own if you like).
Our mentors are top notch and will work with you.
The $50-$100/month figure is strictly for writing online activities including researching assigned topics.
Some of those activities you'd call work (and venting). For instance I'll pay you $10 to write a short article (500-1000 words) on a topic you can write volumes on, and $40 to research a few drugs.

Once we're past the money/credibility issue and you've cashed your first check from us (you can do more research, etc):
To make a few hundred a month, involves a making a committment to our company in time (or learning from us and then going off on your own). This position is that of Internet Nursing Guide.
We'd set you up with your own website, host it and pay you to build it (through profit sharing and paid assignments).
(you'd need to learn very basic html for this, it's not too difficult, there are plenty of books and websites that teach you how).
Like About.com, we'd set up affiliate programs, teach you to market/promote the site and let you keep the majority of the earnings.

To get you started, we'd link to your site from our own and start you off at a few thousand hits/month (the nursefriendly gets over 10,000 hits/day).
We gross thousands each month selling uniforms, books, and everything else from xenical to viagra (they're available through the web without seeing a doctor or getting a prescription first see http://www.nursefriendly.com ).
We know what will sell well on most sites.
You'd make a small amount initially and watch it grow each month.
When you were at the point were it was producing several hundred per month, you could stay on our team or purchase it and go off on your own. The idea here is to turn you into a web savvy nurse entrepreneur.
So you see, it has long term growth and income potential if you stick with it.
We reinvest our leftover earnings for advertising and marketing. We could show you how to do the same.
